Finishing the Challenge Labs

·277 words·2 mins

Status update post about study progress; nothing technical in this one.

My challenge lab extension ended yesterday, 8/22/26 at 5:00PM.

I redid Secura, most of Medtech, all of Relia, all of OSCP A, B, and C, got through Poseidon and Zeus even though they’re beyond scope for OSCP, and also attempted Laser. Basically, the only labs I didn’t do/redo were Skylark and Feast, which are both supposed to be beyond scope of the exam. I feel like I made good use of the extension overall, and feel much more confident than when I went through them previously.

Now I’m getting back into Proving Grounds boxes. Along with this post, I’m pushing four new writeups I just completed. I’m aiming to finish all of the boxes from Lain and TJNull’s lists, which should be doable with another week. I keep seeing comments online that emphasize the importance of doing ALL of these boxes. And sure enough, I keep learning or remembering new details for methodology with most boxes. They’re feeling smoother, but I still have room for improvement. And since I didn’t before my first attempt, I’m doing everything I can to improve my confidence now.

I also just pushed back lab date one more week, so I’ll take it in about 10 days. Even if I took the exam right now, I think I’d be more confident and relaxed than I was last time, since part of the stress was from my uncertainty surrounding proctoring logistics. So with an extra week, hopefully I’ll be in good shape and less stressed while still having time to complete all boxes I’m aiming for.
